Holy sh!t, that is nucking futs...

Good job man, not many people can say they've stood a 1200 on it back wheels, and still twist the chassis. The car is so clean that if you had it here in ZA, you would most probably have been able to register it for public road use. Imagine the looks you'd garner...

Very very nice indeed.
I think the crowd enjoyed it alot.
Must feel awsome when you put power down at the line and it lifts the wheels.

 Re: dat383 wheelstand
i only had three qualifying runs before it rained on saturday.
the wheelstands were a result of a more aggressive tune setup, and it ran 9.93 e.t. with a 1.36 60ft time.
it certainly had more power at the start but quite high humidity and too big a jet size for the conditions killed the mph, down to 130.

it was a good day and i had a ball.
big wheelstands in an aspirated car with no transbrake is heaps of fun.
i will take the car out again at the end of May for the bracket meet.

as for the steering killer1200,it is a gemini rack.
i have shortened the rack ends and re-threaded the shaft to suit the tie rod end.they attach to the original steering arms that come off the bottom of the struts.
i have swapped my struts from left to right so the arms face forwards,as do the brakes, which are 200b.
i also had to press a bend in the front radius rods and use spacers where they mount to the chassis,so i could get the front wheels in the right position.
it runs a modified datsun 1200 steering coloum which is fixed to the firewall and i made a custom steering shaft to link it all together.

i have a friend who has some video of the runs and some good wheelstand footage,so when i get it,i will try to post it up.
