Nice job. Putting an A12 into a Chevy would be even more sexy thing to do.

This is a very class act.
Can you please post up some pics of the chassis, and sub frame?
How worked is your engine? Do you have any power figures?

Working on a Aseries and taking it out and in can be a pain in the arse, this would be like sticking needles in your eyes trying to get it out and get to things and changing bits!!

But it is Datsun Porn, so good mate. Datsun should have made a muscule car like this

Yeah, so slow that he only needs to replace the rear tyres...

'cause the front ones are never on the damn ground

beautiful work there, must have been a drama getting those headers custom made...would the stock manifold have fit and if so how much more power do you get from your custom headers/

Re: datsun 1200 v8 chev engine bay
i made the headers and exhaust system at home in the garage.
they were a bitch to make, especially trying to make them look the same and symetrical.
definatly no room for standard manifolds on the drivers side, because the starter motor and steering shaft runs on that side.
but because they go up and then down out behind the strut tower,it makes it really easy to work on.about 5 minutes for a plug change.
as for power,it has run 9.89@133mph aspirated, which probably puts the power up over 500hp.
thanks for the comments,i see some v8 conversions which really look messy, but i think keeping a standard firewall helps to make it look more factory.

Very very tidy conversion, Well done!

I agree with the 1000 comment tho... you do have alot more room... and 100kg off the weight! Bloody strut towers
