Recently purchased these guards and have never seen one with the indicator mount like the one on the right. Maybe someone can shed some light on the guard if it has been on a rare B210. It appears to be a factory mounted one.

What, you mean like these?

The car is a 120Y GX Coupe that lived around here about 20 years ago, so they are not unique to the 2 door sedan.
Note that it has door mounted mirrors & no sign of fender/ mudguard mounts.
The letters on the numberplate suggests to me that it has been in Australia since it was new & the blue colour of the airbox should tell us something about what year model it could be. [early was red]

I love that 120y GX. Given I'll probably never see one, I want to get a coupe and set it up similarly.

I wonder where the switch for those driving/fog light was located. I have a 120y sunny grill with yellow fog lights, and would like to know how to set it uop to get it as close to original as posssible.

You should be able to tell the year by the number plate - I think that grille was on the 77s and 78s.

dodge, you must know that is a jdm sunny kb210 gx that found its way into oz (via nz?)

it's not a datsun 120y, and you're right, all jdm b210's used those blinkers

however, for the official aussie market, only early 2drs have those blinkers, so they were unique to the aussie market unless somebody knows of another aussie 120y model that got them

Matt
Since it was me that took the pictures, & being the bloody pedant that I am, you'd think I would get it right, but no, I fell for the easy way out & used the Aussie model name instead.
I feel so ashamed.

OK, I'm over it now.
Yes, this is the real deal JDM model & I have no idea how it came to be in Australia, but I suspect that it came here as a new car as the mirrors seem to be fitted at pre-delivery time to avoid damage in transit & this one has never had the 'wing' mirrors fitted which would infer that it was never registered in Japan.

To be honest, I have seen very few 120Y two door sedans around & I have never seen these lights on any other 120Y in Australia.

well, if that kb210 gx was imported from japan and sold in oz, it wouldn't be all that unusual

early '73 240k 2drs were built in japan, and sold in oz until a few months until those cars began coming off the aussie assembly line

that i don't know, but my guess is that if anybody was to look for the id plate, it would differ from the aussie built cars

also, a great many early tudors that originally came with the jdm blinkers could have been retrofitted with the datsun generic type sometime between 1974 &2007

the blinkers on the blue are jdm nissan style

some early 2dr (imports?) used them before they went to the generic datsun rectangular style
