Is that a brand new GX bonnet?! If it is does anyone know the part number to get one of these from Nissan....

Nah, that style bonnet was used on regular 1200s: Deluxe, GL and GX.

Details on the 1972 minor facelift.

It apparently was Japan-only so seems unlikely the Nissan local subsidiaries would carry them. In any case it is part number:
65100-H3100 PANEL ASS'Y-hood
If there are any actually available, you'll want to verify it has that specific design, as they may consider the original style a valid replacement part. Let us know what Nissan tells you.

the black bonnet actually used to have some reasoning to it... back in the day.
There was a factory option for the datsun 1000's to have a matt black bonnet, thus not blinding the driver with reflection from the sun.
Now days its just a style thing. some do it to make it look like carbon, others just like black contrasted by a white car.
even with the flares. i would be prudto have that much dish. i mean the flares are only so big and the dish is soooooo big lol.

looks like he added flares to gain that much dish!

it has some cool mods.

but i cant look past the black bonnet and the stretched tyre look.

ive never understood those kinda mods

just looks wrong to me

you can get those eyelid thingos off ebay or any other hotroddy shop.

Nice ute, love the JDM look... and that is a hell of alot of dish on the front!
