Looks really smik. There are so many just painted or painting progress photos being added at the moment. Middle of winter must be when we all decide to work on our cars in particular new paint jobs, silly us its so damn cold out in the shed.
Another quick question did you paint the car with the windows removed??
If so how did you go getting the chrome strip back in new window rubbers, I know on 1000's its impossible what is it like on rare spares window rubbers for 1200's??
S13... all windows were removed for painting. At the same time dont bother reusing the old rubbers unless they are soft and pliable.
I bit the bullet and managed to buy new genuine rubbers. Stainless trims are quite the task, the front took longer than the rear. Plenty of lube [used a Worth product rubber lube. I think it is silicon based] Insert the trims to the rubber on the glass before fitting to the car. In the order of bottom, sides and then finally the tops. early tops are one piece, lates are 2 piece. [dont bother with the 1 piece tops, its just to hard.
2 man job, well it was for me. the trims can pop out very easily
