brakes locked
We don't have that problem with the stock brakes ... time to add ABS. The 4-wheel ABS is the way to go. Just don't use the early GM system.

12eRallycar, glad to hear your excellent driving skills minimized the danger. The first time that happened to me (driving a Honda in the rain), I smashed directly into the back of a vehicle. I was so shocked that the car was sliding I couldn't think of what to do.

 Re: DAMMIT
yeah well um,

dunno if i really want to say this but,

i had no back brakes at the time

story is:

the rear lines on my car needed replacing (3 of as i have discs on the back)

i rang the brakes place who said they won't work on my car cause its modified, so i had to take all the lines off the car

i had to get my dad to take em down there then try to explain what i needed made up over the phone(which was a pain in the arse cause the guy really wasn't interested)

they goofed it by putting diffrent size connectors on it so i had to take em back on a weekend and get em to fix em, meanwhile its been two weeks with my car sitting on stands in the shed.

finally i get the lines in and bleed the brakes but even though they bleed perfectly there is no real pressure on the brakes (pedal doesnt have any until front brakes start working which is half way down)

so i dunno how the hell to fix the problem and can't get the brakes place to look at it for me, i figure f*ck it i have to drive it to work and will have to be vey careful, which was fine in the dry but this particular morning the road was a little wet and quick stopping just wasn't gonna happen!

so two things come from this

1. Back brakes DO do a lot of braking despite the common opion that they dont

2. It's more dangerous for the brakes place to refuse to work on a modified car than it is for them to work on it, cause you end up with idiots like me who can't sort out problems and having no choice drive their cars in very dangerous conditions

I always blame those incidents on the woman with the red dress which can give you whiplash as well.
