i need this info so i can get a return line for my new fuel pump it seems that a weber does not like 100 psi at the float.

i think its for fuel vapors or something....at a guess

just find another ute fuel line and put that in as a return

it's a breather system for the fuel tank, you need to work out how it all works, but you should be able to tap in your return line back into that filler neck

easiest would be to connect to the filler neck and drill a hole in the filler cap as a breather...

depends how dodgey you want to be

actually just remebering how i did it.... if you remove the small panel in the tray of the ute that gives you access to the top of the petrol tank.... you can get at the fuel gauge sender

on the utes the fuel gauge sender doesnt have a breather there (as part of the gauge sender unit) but on the coupes they do

i swapped the fuel gauge sender from the coupe into the ute, then plumbed my return fuel straight down that breather

no problemo..... except..... the coupe fuel gauge sender float arm is half the length so the fuel gauge says empty when the ute tank is only half full

if i had more time i would have cut and shut (it's not a simple swap) the arm off the ute one and the gauge would have worked fine

of course i told myself i'd do that later but still haven't got around to it

anyway hope that makes sense... thats gonna be your easiest way

 Re: whats this?
i had a radiator place add a return line into my tank. also put in a 5/16 pickup as the old 1/4 would have been a little restrictive.

wasnt that expensive from memory

using the 1/4 pickup to fill a surge tank and then running bigger lines from that is a way around modding the tank if you must.
