I dont recognise the taco but I recognise the camera as a Sony cybershot T1.

Righto, it is a Sony T1. Problem was the sun was shining on the dash from every angle.

That redline seems quite high for a truck motor. In the US these had L series motors so those revs would be very possible. In NZ and Aussie I think they still had the J series which if it turned those sort of numbers would seriously stress its 3 bearing crank.
