My uncle and I have been racing all weekend in Oberon in an AMSAG rally. It was great fun and was our first proper rally. We have done a couple of Khanacrosses and rallysprints, but not a proper rally. If it wasnt for tyre problems, we would have been running mid field, but we had 5 flat tyres (and you dont get this time subtracted) so we ended up coming third last. But on the stages without flats, we were placing quite well. We have figured out what tyres we need that have kevlar sidewalls and learnt a whole lot too! Thanks to mum and dad and my mates Chris and Abo who were support crew!

oh yeah, and its still straight :D

my mate had is first rally at oberon a couple of months ago, he said its a lot of dead straight roads where he wished he didnt have a 5.1 diff.
He retired in the 1st stage after he lost all but 5th gear and couldnt get up a really steep hill.

hey Tyrie, yeah our diff has a huge ratio too, but we didnt find it too long and straight. shame he had to pull out so soon though!

get tubes put in the tyres too, that way if rocks or dirt get inside the bead they dont let the tyre down
