My question relates to the speedometer. Haven't text for a while. I'm the owner in Southern California you helped me our green 1200 with my struts about two years ago. Finally found a pair in England. Also put an A-14 with a Weber 36/32 two years ago. I had asked for advice from you in replacing the A-12 as well. Thanks again.

Now I have a problem. The pinion gear to the speedometer's bullet started leaking. Took it to a transmission shop. They put a used bullet and pinion gear (20 teeth) and it stilled leaked from the center of the pinion stem. We still have the original automatic transmission which has been great for 36 years we have owned it. So we are in the process of trying to replace the pinion gear and bullet. Purchased a pinion gear (17 teeth; part #7503) from the Japanese supplier but its so much shorter than the 20 teeth as well as loose in the bullet. The add says it fits 1200. But after purchase the add also said it fits the 4 speed trans. So the question we have is: Is the Automatic transmission bullet and its pinion gear different in size from the 4 speed bullet and gear? We think there is a difference. Didn't keep the original bullet and pinion; should of. I found a new bullet from that Japanese provider but don't want to purchase it as it appears to fit the 17 tooth pinion gear I have which seems to be for a 4 speed trans. Help!
