that can take A series like rpm with 4-5 times less rebuilds
per season of circuit racing
I personally like the sohc 16v version 1.6L g16b
which sat in a 1999 suzuki carry van as a daily.

Re: The saga begins... Amazing how, if you look at the 2L Mazda FE, Toyota 4AGZE, this Suzuki motor, Toyota 3SGTE and even the Nissan CA18, how similar they appear.
What I like about this Suzi setup, is that it will still be very light in the front, you will thus be able to sort out the handling very nicely. Plus you have those extra few revs to get you out of trouble when you need them. The intake is also pointing the right way.
Now I wonder how one of these would fair with a turbo attached. Even before you get to that, what would happen if you added a nice set of individual throttles, should scream like a pig in heat...

Re: The saga begins... I heard you could bore these little monsters out enough to get them to 1500 cc's. Plus you can get the crank out a g16a for another 300 cc's. that's 1300 + 200 + 300 = 1800 cc's. & for the Australians, the way to go is get the transmission out of a suzuki sierra, which uses the g13a, single cam, engine. a friend was going to do this with a Fisher Fury/Lotus seven, but couldn't get the engine emissions legal, as it was being classified as a new car.

Re: The saga begins... Yea, sidekick or tracker transmission. $58 kit to mount to this motor and use the 1.6L flywheel/clutch. Another option is the Samurai transmission which would bolt up, but the sidekick/tracker transmission is stronger and more refined.
