 Re: Light em up!
Me and my bro took our cars out to the middle of nowhere to screw around. We also recorded it on video, it's fun to watch and show friends what a Datsun can do. I loved those old 12" tires "Sears Dynasports" they squealed SOOO loud. I'd love to find another pair of junk tires that squeal really loud, anyone recommend a good squealer brand tire???

12 inch 155 Bridge stone sf243 and simex sm83 retreads .... make a lovley sound with a pinch of oil and add a grain of tarmac, equals plenty of smoke

good pic

1200s run faster in Washington ... it's the cool dense air with lots of moisture to keep detonation away. That is, unless you live the desert wasteland which is a mere 2/3 of the state.

I like your "as new" rear Datsun Emblem badge. The original colours look great.

I try to repaint those "D" badges about once every 6 months...the paint fades and chips away quick, especially on the front. I usually just use model paints and a small brush. I wonder how long the original paint lasted on those?? The rear one on my current coupe has been removed and painted over, but I think I'll put it back on, I like the way it looks.

I'd love to run my Datsun back at Seattle International Raceway again the way it is setup now. It's so hot here in Texas, it feels like a good 10-15 horsepower increase after the sun goes down...seriously I'm not joking! Maybe then I could break into the 15's. I still have not figured out why it occaisionally goes dead lean and stops revving way before redline though
