i rember reading something about an xf 4.1L that was set up for custon injection, they got best results the further back the injectors were, ended up being almost in the belmouth area, maybe the air is cooled by the fuel somewhat

In that case I am not going to mess up my spare GX intake.

Rather use the templates from TnPshow and make a custom intake with throttlebodies.

Still need to know what is each things job on this picture to know what else needs to be made.I am unfortunately not very bright with the making of fuel injection setup from scratch.

you say that the computers are expensive if you want the jets timed withthe valves what sort of computer would you use if you were to get one that doesnt do that, and how does it work?

Look at this web site; http://www.megasquirt.info/

A lot of info on fuel injection as well as a do-it-yourself kit for building a fuel injection computer.

In short, the concern about when the injector "fires" is addressed. When at cruising RPM the injectors are often firing on a closed intake valve just because the amount of time the valve is open is relatively short vs. the amount of fuel needed. A truly sequential system has the ability to deliver slightly better fuel mileage and emissions but the power is very similar between sequential and "batch fire" systems. It is very interesting reading.

The info should also help you identify some of the components in the pictured system.

a delco ecu from an ordinary 4 cyl efi camira would run this and cheap as chips too. the ecu can even be regraphed...

do you know what the inputs are tht go into a camira cpu, also would boost effect this cpu. i was also wondering can plenums and intakes be made from stainless cos i was told they shouldnt but i dont see why not

 Re: A14 quad throttle bodies
Can you please give more details on this setup? What is each thing's job on this setup?

I am busy doing research in making the same thing out of a spare GX intake manifold I have at home.(Ok, not totally.Going to put a single throttlebody at the front of the big pipe)What motorbike throttlebodies did you use? Just curious.

I am planning on putting my injectors into the intake manifold very close to the cylinder head. Spraying precisely into the intake port of the cylinder head. I see yours are very far away.
Is this not a bit bad?

unless you run sequential injection (expensive computer) they will shot when the valves closed anyway

injecting in earlier can result in a better mix also

You can still do this if you make a custom manifold from the templates, and if you do, I have a bunch of smallish throttle bodies lying around all in the 50mm+ size. There might even be a 48mm too, I think, will have to check. You can gladly have one of them if you want...

Just let me know and we can work something out with the courier, and I'll send you the injectors, fuel pressure regulator and t-body.

It will actually be better to have only one T-body if you plan on going turbo later on, it makes the plumbing much easier, and the results will be the same. Also with the individual t-bodies you might experience some problems with getting a proper vacuum signal for the dizzy and booster(if you fit one later on).

 Re: A14 quad throttle bodies
What are you using for the throttle bodies?

What will it fit, ie 1000, 1200. . . clearance to upper wishbones/strut. . .

Most importantly, $$$$$$$$!

 Re: A14 quad throttle bodies
They are motor bike throttle bodies. they came from an A14 in a sunny but should fit 1000, 1200, 120y etc.

Cheers. Adam.
