Re: ca18det stainless turbo manifold I'd say brace it... I see a lot of guys going for the ebay mani's on SRs and RBs here and they crack. They all look like great quality but the ones the come with a brace seem to be less troublesome.
Nobody here runs CAs so this might not be the case but better safe than sorry.
There's also a guy that supplies them locally and they're the exact same manufacturer. I've compared them side by side and he gets his from China. They're much higher quality than anything I've seen that was made in the states though.
The earlier ones were also very prone to leaking at the exhaust port flange but they seem so have put some better quality control in place.

Re: ca18det stainless turbo manifold yeah they do definatley come with plenty of cracking history. I'd recommend bracing your dump pipe or down pipe to the bellhousing or somewhere around there. this will isolate the turbo and manifold from any movement that occurs from the whole exhaust.

Re: ca18det stainless turbo manifold lagwagon, thanks for the idea i will definately be bracing the dump pipe to te engine/bellhousing as my car is that low that the exhaust hits on speedhumps surely riding over them with a hot manifold cant be good for it,i have to mod the dump as it is coz this manifold is slightly different to stock one.
