In USA, it is not considered a classic. For example, you cannot get "classic" car insurance for it.

 Re: red 1200
Hey Hi I'm new here and I have a question, I'm sure you can answer. Anyway, I have the opportunity to buy a 1974 B1200 fastback. It has primered body and no dents or rust, the driver seat is torn and has a hole in the seat part but the rest is in decent condition, and has a broken driver side window. It runs but needs a carburator adjustment and a tune-up. What would be a good price to pay for this, I have tried to search for a site to get a blue book value on it and have had no luck, is there a site I can go to? I want to make sure I am making a good investment if i buy this car. Your help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Maybe fill out your location as the price can vary from country to country. Also unless we see the car in person its hard to say. In Australia anywhere from $600 to $3000 again depends on body condition and what motor box is in it and whether it has rego. Would be good to start a thread in Main forum about it maybe.

 Re: red 1200
For USA:
* Bad: in primer, broken window.
* neutral: Torn seat, carb needs adjustment. Those are typical
* decent condition (meaning it runs and drives "OK" not, a tiny bit of rust but not much, door dings, but no dents)

I'd say $600-$1200

> tried to search for a site to get a blue book value

"blue book" value is only offered by Kelley Blue Book. They havea a web site. I don't know if they value cars this old.

N.A.D.A. web site will give a value, but I doubt it means anything.

The red car in this picture is a top-notch specimen. It would probably sell for $5000 today.

A fair original-condition coupe, average paint, *no problems of any kind* might go for $2500 today.

Anyone know whose car this is? I got alot of pictures of it at Shasta last year but didn't get a chance to talk to the owner much.

Was it you I spoke to? It was at Thunderhill and there was a blue BRE 510 next to it? Or did you buy it after that?

You made a wise buy. Without a doubt that's the cleanest Coupe I've ever seen in the States.
