As you can see, the body is in white etch primer.
Due to some wobbly damage that I didn't see in the doors, I'm going to need 2 front door skins.
The painter wants it to be completely straight. I agree. I'll be looking for them over the next 2 days.

I'm getting a test panel done in British racing green and white ice. We'll see what it looks like. I'll know what colour after next weekend.

I only need the front door skins (And that's to avoid excessive panel work) So I'll ring around the various suppliers in Australia for them today. I'll ring Nissan tomorrow, if I can't find them today. And I'll get them from south africa

Can you really have new door skins cheaper than a redo on your existing????Who's your supplier for body panels???Over here in California, body shops charge 50-100 USD$/hour(plus paint in some cases!!) If that's the case, I'm after a damn raise!!!

 Re: Dattodude
Thanks guys..I found a place ..no sweat..
We've talked about them before:
"AP Panel House" at Condell Park in Sydney..
+61 2 9791 0955. They are in www.yellowpages.com.au.

I got one of each for AU$78 each. No worries. I'll pick them up tomorrow.

They also have 1 full passenger door in stock. But as we've discussed, I believe that stock is drying up with the shutdown of the taiwan factory that makes them. This would mean buying the panels through Nissan at a highly inflated price. Of course this only applies to Utes and sedans. Coupe door skins dried up years ago.

Chris.

www.nispares.com.au seems to have found a new supplier of panels as they have a big banner on their site to say they are getting ute panels again

they had run out previously

 Re: Dattodude
Awesome! Great news.

I'm pretty happy with that.
I might buy some of the critical panels for spares when I can afford it..Eg, all of the front panels and front doors. I'd like to be self sufficient for spares. I need to wait for my 8 car garage before I buy them though. My dad's getting sick of me having more car parts than he does. I store them at his place..fair enough.

here's a pic of my old1200 sedan in british rading green before I sold it to NoPSI. Not a great pic, but it should give you a idea of what it would look like.

It looks kinda cool. A little darker than I thought. But I'm getting "white ice" stuff in the clear coats, which will give it a lighter shade on some angles.

Thanks a lot for the photo.
