what ive done with mine is mount my alt on the passanger side under the water inlet using a modified a12 alt bracket, and mounted the air con were the alt used to reside in a 1200ute, had to do a bit of chopping and welding but they are both modified std alt brackets... btw the compressor is a sanden sd7 (run of the mill aftermarket compressor)

Hmm... you are giving me ideas. The bracket on the lower left side of engine (right side of picture) is the stock 1971-1973 alternator bracket. The brackets on the other side look like an a/c idler pulley.
