Finally found some NA tappet covers, and used those in favor of the SC ones. Gives a nice effect with the letters standing out like that. Also added a breather filter which matches the dump valve. Added some anti freeze this time around.

Re: And back where it belongs...
We put the engine back together about 3 weeks ago now, and it runs like swiss clockwork. Have taken the boost up to 8 psi again, and so far it's holding up. Kicked some ass while I was at it too... It should go for a dyno this week, or early next week, depending on what happens with some job interviews I have coming up...

Here is what the chambers looked like after taking the head of, they all looked like this, so the engine was running well, except for that bearing that gave up of course...

And the number one cylinder seems to have taken on some water before I got hold of it. Must have been when they shipped it, or it was standing out in the rain. The engine never used any oil, or smoked for 8 months, so I figured that it should be ok to just give it a good hone, and use it like this again. It's not smoking now either, so my gamble was ok... saved me R4000 for a new set of pistons anyway...

And last but not least just an assembly photo...

It's a clever cover for the ignition coil.

Are you running the standard GZE fuel regulator?

Yes and no. On the inlet side of the fuel bar it has that no-return valve thing that keeps the pressure in the bar. I used that from the gze. I had a spare ge bar, and it has the inlet and outlets on opposite ends, so that worked better for me doing the plumbing. However, the regulators on both bars were a bit dodgy, so I used a 2L mazda one I had which was still brand new, it's green and sits at the back, and works well. It takes a vacuum/boost signal, and pushes the pressure up when the boost goes up. I suppose the toy ones would have done the same job, they just looked crap...

Fanta Injection is a joke. We started talking about Metho Injection and Water Injection to stop pinging (pre-ignition).

Chris_lott said it that fanta injection would be better, he professed that he secret ways to make Fanta Injection work, it was all rubbish of course. The joke extended because in various countries, up to 4 different kinds of Fanta are available. So we had discussions on which one would be better.

Chris_lott would "fantasize" (pun intended) about many things. I had many evenings reading articles and crying with laughter at some of the rubbish that he thought up.

There you go. You can relax, now that you know what it's all about.

Chris.

As far as I can figure out, it's been around for a long time, so I paid tribute to it with the coil cover. You won't believe how many people ask about it when they see it at events. I simply send them to this site, and tell them to read about it...

fanta injection is no joke, it is excellent to see your fanta injection system in place, i can only imagine the hours you spent hollowing out your ignition leads to make everything "appear" factory. good effort :)

You could hide it by covering the Fanta can with a plain black sheath. That's what most of us do.

I can neither confirm nor deny the effective of Fanta Injection.
