wow 177kw is awesome, what boost is that at?

Mine just made 146kw on 12psi, and ran a 13.2@171km/h.
You really need a locker and better tyres!

Thanks for the kudos, that was at 0.8bar. I always thought bar = psi/10, but a quick Google and one converter later it seems that it's 11.6psi... I suspect that my turbo is slightly larger than yours, and may flow a lot more at the same boost setting, from there the difference.

Here's the site which gives the spec for my turbo, Master Power, and a pic of it, mine is the 810001 in the in the middle...

If I compare this conversion with the CA18DET that you guys do, I would gladly take this conversion. Reasons:

1. About the same power as the CA18DET conversion.
2. Less weight than the CA18DET conversion.
3. No tunnel mods needed.
4. Still lots of engine bay space to work.
5. Easier to get registered because it's 1600cc.
One bad thing is however that with the CA18DET it is still Nissan/Datsun related. This conversion will unfortunately make it a Datsun/Toyota hybrid.

with bigger/stickier rubber you should see
12's with ease.

They weren't taking speed on the day, or rather their measuring equipment only takes time and not speed. They have recently bought the timing equipment from another raceway that closed, so they'll have speed measurments soon.

Yes, at the wheels. But who knows really, these dyno machines rarely if ever measure the same between different ones, but I can say that my car does feel much stronger than before the engine was reconditioned. Boost comes in much earlier, and throttle response is also much quicker. O, and since I moved from Pretoria to Cape Town, I also lost about 1800m in altitude, which would probably also help the figure go up a bit.

I've decided not to go racing again before I made up some tram rods, added some stickier rubber, got some decent boost pipes and rebuilt the zorst with mandrel bends. I'll see what it does then. And I need to get the reaction times down... a lot....

That is pretty swift, considering you're not using any boost.. I did a 14.1@167km/h(+/-105mph?) before we moved down here.
