Bored 120thou, Mazda MX5 pistons, rods shotpeened and linished, A14 crank, 54/86 cam. Jeff Taylor max port head, 1600 size valves, dbl valve springs, twin 45's. 11.6:1 comp ratio.

If people are familiar with CA18det_man's old 1200 coupe(think L18_b110 now owns it) - its was his original engine. Andrew had this thing built back in the 90's from Jeff Taylor as a pure race engine. Its now toned down a little to run on street fuel.

And yeah the thing hanging on the oil filter is just a oil pressure guage sender...

Will post more pics of the head next time im working on it...

 Re: Engine in!!
Electronic dizzy - the adjust bit u see is the old pulsar timing adjuster - i have a plate bolted under it to fit the A15.

I usually would have put it back in as 1 - but stupidly - i made the exhaust 1 piece from extractors to tip - bad idea - extractors were in the way so i put the engine back in as bare as possible. Wasnt too bad - gearbox needed a bit of swearing at to fit...
