 Re: CA18 crossmember Only some crude models of the associated parts like the chassis rails, lower control arms and a strut body.
I modeled this while trying to teach myself a bit about solidworks so it's not a very good model. It doesn't behave correctly when used for FEA

 Re: CA18 crossmember We use Autocad 2008 and Inventor. I also render stuff in 3ds max.
We trialled Solidworks and loved it but management was too tight-arsed to fork out for it...

 Re: CA18 crossmember I actually use CATIA at work these days. CATIA is much more powerful than Solidworks when it comes to large assemblies. Solidworks is just so user friendly that when trying to learn some CAD Solidworks was the easy option.
