Thats exactly what im going to do with it. I'll be using the almera until I get more cash, hopfully soon. After witch, this motor is going in my bakkie with fuel injection and all (power steering and air con not included). Then I got to save again for the blow dryer.

Anybody for Almera spares after the motor comes out.

 Re: My New Nissans motor
I finally found it, its a N16 with a QG16DE. The N16 in South Africa only came out with the QG18DE and a QG16DE.

Quote:
QG16DE = The QG16DE is an 1,6 L (1597 cc) straight 4 cylinder engine with DOHC and 16 valve and variable timing control (VTC). It produces 118 hp / 6000 rpm and 143 nm / 4400 rpm. Bore and stroke are 76 mm (3.0 in) and 88 mm (3.5 in). It is used in the Nissan Sunny NEO with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatik transmission, and in Nissan Primera (P12) edition sold in various countries across Europe. QG=quality and green

Exactly the same engine as in my Almera.

I will not try to fit this into a bakkie. Too much work.

And that is exactly the kind of statement that would make me do it...*hehehe*

No seriously, it would be kind of cool to rather have this in there than the 4AGE, and if you fit a eversized blowdryer you will have just as much fun...

Thanks Beattie.

Im thinking of transplanting this motor into my Ute. I picked this car up for a bargin, so I could not leave it, it only has 85000 km on the clock. I'll see if I can find the engine model in the engine bay.

 Re: My New Nissans motor
nah its definitely not a ga, its later model than that. I'm pretty sure it'll be a QG16. Looks like the engine in my parents n16 pulsar.
So Is this motor going into a datsun?

 Re: My New Nissans motor
ok easy solved then. is it a N14 or a N15? N15 got the QG and the N14 got the GA. The plate is under the coolant overflow on the drivers strut tower i think

thats a N16 with a QG15DE (1.5 16v)or a QG18DE (1.8 16v)
thats the only 2 petrol engines they used in N16's here in Uk, maybe other in different countries
I have one myself (1500 version)
