 Re: New rims
Are those Ally Cat rims? I wanted those for my 69 mini, but I came across a deal on minilites that I couldn't pass up. What size are those? Maybe the B210 will get some instead.

 Re: New rims
Well, I'm not normally a fan of flares on Utes, but I saw the pictures of the work that went into moulding these from the actual side panel metal & the finished product looks great.

Yes, the ghost flames are testing the limits of my vision, but they're there alright. I just love the subtlety.

The rims, well, we're not likely to see too many of them on a Datsun & give the whole thing a totally unique look.
Great job Josh.

That looks great. Did you do the flares also becuase you increased your track size?

 Re: New rims
We did the flares to suit this size wheel and tire combo which increased the track a little.

When I originally purchased it I wanted this kind of look with the deep dish and flares.

Thanks for all the feedback.

 Re: New rims
that is one extremely nice looking ute, it's good to see a car at an acceptable ride height. the flames are a bit of personal preference ...

 Re: New rims
The flares are stock metal stretched by hours of hammering then about 3/4" added so there'd be enough to make a lip to regain strength.

On the rears we drilled the spot welds then streched both the inner and outer layer, added the extra steel, then when the shape was acceptable the two layers were welded back togeher at the points where the original spot welds were drilled and the lip was made again.
