most obvious change is the new spoiler, which still needs some re-working to match up to the flares before painting. A new intercooler will fill the gap in the front, which will leave the radiator more open to airflow.

I was actually thinking about making up an undertray and splitter closer to the ground...

the spoiler and new intercooler location should go a long way towards sorting a slight overheating problem I had last November at QR. The current intercooler covers pretty much the whole radiator, and the end tanks are in front of the rad core blocking airflow.

The spoiler will prevent alot of air from going under the front of the car, so there'll be a low pressure area under the engine bay now for all the hot air to flow out under the car. the spoiler should also help a little on high speed corners.

the air filter will also be relocated to recieve a better supply of ambient air instead of being partially behind the radiator.

The overheating issue is also the reason I've gone back to the bonnet with the scoop. a bit more cool air forced in over the turbo's side can't really hurt.

the front is also 15mm lower to get the rollcentre down a little. some pics from the Australian Hillclimb Championship last year show some problems characteristic of having the front roll centre too high.

I've also got new front and rear swaybars for it, but I'm a little concerned about the size of the rear bar - its a bit big. Might have to get a custom one bent up, or maybe balance it out with higher rate front springs.

no mate. it's still live axle and leaf springs. it's common to fit swaybars to live axles too.

Been busy Harry! Good to see,you don't have a mould of the bonnet scoop do you?I don't have a 4b to take one off and don't fancy buying a new one unless i really have too.
Whens the test day?Interested to know your thoughts afterwards
Cheers

still lots to do yet - and waiting on the intercooler to arrive... hoping to give it a shakedown towards the end of next month at QR.

I don't have a mould of the scoop mate.

Yes i know what it is guys, but thanks anyway.Seeing as how i'm such a tight arse i knocked one up out of foam the other day(Signwriters usually have foam lying around)and pulled a mould out. It's nothing fancy just functional,so after i clean it (the mould)up a bit i'll make one up and shove it thru the glass bonnet from the inside and goo it in

I like the spoiler attached to the bumper bolts really good lines with retro touches.
