Wow, nice tarp, I put it at the top of the tonneau cover article.

What brand is it? Do you have more pics or details?

 Re: my tarp
how does it attach?
Personally having a ute that the tailgate doesnt come down on would really piss me off.

Don't underestimate the hauling capacity of these beasts - I used to carry some massive loads in the back.

I couldn't have done it without a opening tailgate...

I think it was a pic of your ute Terry I saw on here a while ago, it had a BIG bookshelf and a couch (or something of the same size) in the back.
I have a mazda bravo work ute, and the most I would do is relocate the handle to inside the tailgate and have it smoothed off on the outside. It is just too impractical, i think, to weld up the tailgate, But whatever floats your boat

how are you going to get those eskys in the back of the ute though? utes look funny without tailgates anyway. i've seen a few 1200's with smoothed rear ends where the corners have all cracked when a powerful motor was fitted.

Hey Doyle mate..don't listen to the wowsers.

I reckon the tailgate looks good. I also agree the tarp looks great. I'm happy your project has really come together. I know how hard it is to plan/execute/complete a project. Good work!

ps..I'm still struggling with the 'complete' part of my project.
