Re: Custom dash its getting done in suede leather. top in a light charcoal and the facia in mabye a very light beige or cream. not real sure yet, my mates a motor trimmer and he wants to go all out on the interior but it wont be getting done for a while. I need to get the rest of the car completely finished ( haltec wired and tuned) because I want the interior o be the very last thing to get done.

Re: Custom dash I hate to mention this now, as it might be too late, but why dont you get the bits & pieces from a sunny or an N12 pulsar that would allow you to put the lights & wipers on the steering column. I dont know the real name of it, but it's the piece of plastic that goes under the steering column shroud. With an N12 pulsar you can even get intermittent wipers, you just have to grab the control box from under the bonnet of the car. I did this with my first sunny using an N12 whatever, & the intermittent wipers were great. You can even get variable speed in some models.Doing this would allow you to remove the headlight & wiper switches off the dash panel & clean it up a little bit more.

Re: Custom dash yeah the best steering collum plastic to use is from the series 2 bluebird...costs about $10 from a wrecker and is easy as to install....will make the dash look a lot better

Re: Custom dash I like this a lot... how will it be trimmed? I like the contrast it's got now with the panel being a different color. Would look really good in wood, but I imagine it will get a more modern treatment that will look equally good.
