Aussie Fords probably do use EDIS, as part of the EEC controller. Do any have a 36-1 trigger wheel? UK escorts have the trigger wheel cast into the flywheel. The trigger wheel can be fabricated at work here so that's no worries.

It drives real nice, smoother than before, but not more powerful. Throttle response feels quite different but then it was warmer today than before. I've been examining the default spark curve mapping, compared to Stock it has more mechanical advance but less vacuum advance. The stock Datsun distributors don't seem to have hardly any mechanical advance in them.
