Nope, all newer SA UTE's have this size rear window with the higher roof line aswell. Shouldnt it be bigger than the low roof models.

As for the syncro's its a complete new gearbox from Nissan SA, old box broke into 3 different pieces.

yeh i thought it would have had a bigger rear window but the older ones like mine seem to have much wider rear windows, and this one seems to extrude a bit as well.

Quick question: Does a new gearbox nave to be run in, as the new one in my UTE in notchy putting it into second and I have to double clutch it before selecting first. 3rd, 4th & 5th are OK. The old one was not like this ?

With new bearings it is reccommended not to go too fast for the first 1000 km or so and if a synchro ring was replaced sometimes they need to settle in but if the 2nd gear syncro was not replaced there may be a problem.
