Re: Arias 4AG This should be lower compression than standard, but not as low as the 4AGZE pistons. Well atleast not as low as the first gen ones, the later ones had slightly higher compression, 8.9:1 as apposed to 8:1, and they may not have had the pocket in the middle. I haven't seen them yet, only the first lower CR ones. Standard 4AGE pistons have domes that protrude above the edge of the piston, into the combustion chamber in the head.

Re: Arias 4AG All that I have read on the net indicates you are correct. I have a non-oil squirter AE92 Bigport engine that these will be going into (not any time soon mind you). I am unsure if they would fit with the oil squirters that are fitted to the other blocks. From what i have seen these pistons have a machined cut-out on the bottom of the skirt for clearance. From what I have found I wont need the squirters in my application, and I will thermal coat them to prevent heat transfer to the piston in the first point and try and keep the heat in the combustion gass and hopefully help my spool rate for the turbo I am going to run. It's a case of "Suck it and see", If she turns into a lag monster and annoys the crap out of me, I'll down size the snail. I enjoyed your pics by the way!
