Ahhh, lekker ou brannas en Coke.

For the English speaking members, Brandy and Coca Cola is the traditional drink for most Afrikaans people. We sometimes reffer to it as;

Vitamien B&C - vitamin B&C
Polisie koffie - police cofee
Dop - lid/shell(doesn't makes sense if it's not said in Afrikaans)
Brannas en Coke - brandy and coke

Ok that's it, enough of cultural sharing, I'm of to the pub...

EDIT: And that is KWV Brandy, ask one of your ex ZA friends to bring you a bottle next time they come to visit, one of the better brandies around...

EDIT 2: And 2 bottles of Old Brown Sherry to keep out the cold 'till the brandy kicks in.

PS. I hope you had a designated driver, by the looks of things, you were in for a bit of a party there...
