Why do you say the engine is quick.
It only runs a pair of SU's not even sidedrafts to give it more ooomf.

I'll get Hennas to explain what has been done to this UTE. He knows the owner better than I do. All I know it that it is a 1000 and its quick.

It's a Datsun 1000, isn't it? A hot A12 would be quick in a light car like that.

 Re: Hot 1200 motor
i have a old gx motor in my 1000 its the original unmolested gx except for extractors and elec dizzy and is in desperate need of a good tune up yet it propels my lil wagon upto 160kph and gets upto around 80-100kph down my 150m driveway so i can see a nicely modded a series propeling the mighty 1000 quite quickly ive been telling everyone 1000's there the best of the datsuns

I think the brake booster is so far forward to try and give it a bit of weight in the front end as it wheel stands real easy. Due to the phenomenal power. Not that I'm being sarcastic or anything, Perish the thought.
