I just bought this off Import monster. It's from a PB210. Hopefully it should go straight in place with the old 120Y. Just for something different!

The colouring is a little different from mine. Different years maybe, or 1400 vs 1600.

I've noticed some JDM Sunny GL have a square 180kph speedo too. Maybe only the 1400 models.

Yes, that is a PB210 sedan speedometer. 180kph. Woo.

PB210 - only Sedan DX or GL came with the rectangle gauges. Coupe and all GX came with round guages. Regular B210 came with 160kph rectangle gauge or even 140kph for VB210.

Definitely not a 120Y. PB210 only came with 1400 or 1600 engines, never with the 1200 engine.

The PB210 I have came with a 1200 :P
Well, a previous owner downgraded it to an A12A.
It will be back to original later in the future.

I think it is safe to say that all JDM B210 GXs were fitted with round gauges - 180kph speedo and tacho. I've seen both Coupe and Sedan GX with these gauges. JDM Coupe GL also has round gauges but no tacho (big clock instead) and speedo only goes to 160kph. Will upload pics later.

Not sure about 1400 (A14) GX-T sedan though. There's one in my country, haven't had the chance to have a closer look yet.

A12a not a downgrade from an a12, uses same Conrods as a13 from memory

Where can I get one for my 120y coupe.
It goes up to 180km/h instead of 160km/h and also has a trip meter incorporated in it. I also like the colour scale aswell.

180kph speedo could be cool.

ive always missed the trip meter in my ute (not that it was ever there)

but probably a good thing with my ute, trip meter could possibly break my heart

Now all I have to do is se if the old girl can hit the 180 mark! Under controlled conditions of course.

I like the colours that reflect the same as the tacho. Now to decide if it is for the van or sedan?

Although it is still residing in Japan I am eager to meet this speedo in person. I hope it all works o.k. I am a bit nervous about the spanglish you have to read and hidden charges.

umm, as far as I know to fit PB210 stuff required the Entire dash has to come out - as the PB210 has ROUND gauges!

 Re: The new 120Y speedo
It arrived the other day. Sweet. The only problem is that the colouring is in better condition than the tacho!! Has anybody been to Import Monster?? Sh1t everywhere... Could have a field day rummaging around through there though. Bit pricey on their seats too.

P.S. Mawler1. Coupe dash's have the round dash's while sedans generally have the standard dash. The dash in question came up under a search for PB210. Weather on not is is may be a question for the experts. It may be for a regular sedan for all I know. It does have a tripmeter and an extra 20kph on the clock with the redline section that our local stuff did not have, even the earliest 120Y and the later vans that were fully imported do not have them fitted as standard.

 Re: The new 120Y speedo
In Japan market, regular B210 had rectangular (Van, Sedan) or round (Coupe All, and Sedan GX). This is for non-PB210.

however, regular B210 rectangular gauge was 140 or 160kph (it came either way).

 Re: The new 120Y speedo
well US spec B210's have A13 and A14's

however the California spec cars have so much pollution gear on them I think our 120Y's would probably be the better car!

Why so surprised? Few cars can acheive the speed listed on their speedometers. At least until the infamous 85mph speedometers arrived.

Even some Corvettes and (most) Mustangs couldn't reach the end of their 150 mph speedometers.

Original Datsun 1200 had 100mph speedo, but couldn't go that fast (top speed: 90 mph).

 Re: The new 120Y speedo
iall the pictures I'vve seen of PB210's I've seen had round guages - sedan or coupe

that's funny i thought local 120Y coupes had square guages too...

crap never got to see the inside of that red 120Y coupe west of Caiguna on the way home...
