Re: L series quad throttle injection
well its actually gone backwards from this pic....all those nicely stacked and arranged pieces of manifold have fallen over
so now have to restack it so it looks like a manifold again

on the upside, i got the haltech e6x that will be the brains of the opperation

basically done pretty much nothing to get this any closer to being complete since uni finished and i started my holidays, drinking and lazing seems to stop me getting out to dads to do anything mechanical
and ive also got a CA setup thats sorta getting build as a temp motor while the L series is out
and ive got the V6 ute that needs to be made drivable again
and i just bought an R33 gtst (such a fun car) that needs parting out so that ive got funds to spend on this

nice work nick, i have a set of the same awaiting some manifold design love. Did you machine up those joiner pieces with the groove cut in them? also see you've removed those seconday butterfly's, are you running both sets of injectors?

Re: L series quad throttle injection
lags, lathed the end bits of the manifold up out of the same stuff im using for the rest of the runners, hoping that that is what the end of the gsxr manifold looks like so that i can just run a standard manifold clamp thing on it
will probably one run on set of injectors, still dont know what size the stock ones are as ive kinda got lazy in my fact finding exercise

what are you planning on running them on?

Re: L series quad throttle injection
i'm hoping to use the ones that came in it and maybe set them up to be staged so the second set comes in at higher rpm. i'm the same, not sure what cc they are but i've heard that bike injectors have a really good spray pattern and will be good to use if i can. i'm going to be doing the same sort of manifold but i have the extra task of turning a round hole into a smaller oval hole

Re: L series quad throttle injection
from what i heard the ones in boofs manifold are 220cc
and guessing mine are about the same...but stock bike injectors should be easily big enough for an A series, and probably big enough for my engine
not that i really know what size i should be running
but as ive gotta make a new fuel rail anyway it wont be hard to fit different injectors

so its a 3 way race to have gsxr injection complete

Why is that? What's wrong?
Are you planning on ditching the webers and going fuel injection?
Just curious guys, do you think 600cc motorcycle fuel injection will be best suited for a hot A12 motor?

yes 600cc have been adapted to an A-series with some sucsess, someone one this site did it just can't remeber off the top of my head, they did post up some details and some footage.

Pigdog,
What compter are you planning on running? are you using the bike computer? or a fuel only ECU? is it for a turbo set later on down the track maybe?

Re: L series quad throttle injection
the ultimate plan is quad throttle quad coil maybe sequential through a haltech E6X
mainly for economy and a bit more power, and just for the hell of it

thinking E6X mainly because my brothers using the same computer so should have some kinda tuning equiptment and experience by the time mine is together

also working on adapting a CA18 CAS to an L series dizzy but thats just giving me the ####s....stupid thing doesnt want to be pulled apart
