dammit, you just cant see the bonnet hinge setup. is there any pics of the hinges?

How heavy is the engine? It would be a shame if it were so heavy that it ruined the driving. Great workmanship.

These VW engines aren't nearly as heavy as the CA18DET or SR20DET's, I'd say more in the region of the 4AGE, maybe even slightly lighter than that even.

Weird choice of engine, not a bad engine at all, just a very weird choice for such an installation. Even weirder is that they didn't go for the 8V x-flow engine, or the more popular choice of 16V, both would have made the plumbing much easier and less crowded on the one side of the bay like what it is now. But I suppose it's about individuality, and in this case it's very...
