The timing boards weren't working so they were announcing the times over the speakers. I only heard one run announced which was 8.19 @ 160 something mph.

They should have put a VG30DETT in with a stroker kit in ohhh that would be a tick in my box

Sure is. It's a customer's car. The setup used to be in a VS ITT38L that was pretty quick.

It used to be registered back in the day with a FJ20 & C4 gearbox.

ITT38L was the fastest v6 powered commodore around wasnt it?
and it an emotec...not a crappy VN V6...so its slightly better

would have been a hell of alot more effort to get a VG30dett between the strut towers of the 1200 than it would be to fit the commodore V6 also

what is wrong with the series 1 V6 in a datto ute.....?try pulling up next to it......!!
