Now that is what a picture of tuff would look like semi slicks ,low, blacked out rims , nice paint ,looks like its just searching for some corners to fly around whilst it standing still, very agressive looking car there .

P.S. I reckon the ride height in the pic looks good .

cheers mate. yeah once the tyres are warmed up it goes pretty good, not a whole lot of grip when they're cold though. i've also got a set of sparco racing seats so the whole image is complete, except for now she's just a cruiser. one day she'll have a ca18de or something similar in there but until that day it's just low and slow baby (as ramone would say).

i'm hoping to get out to the datsun meet, was there last year but no P's and the car was still a work in progress. would be good to get some shots together, aren't you good at photography?
no i'm running a ca20e, which is a crap motor by the way. hopefully in the future i'll get a ca18de in there.

 Re: ute night shot
yeah this picture was taken on a friday night cruise, with a few people from canberra cruises.

there was an e46 m3 turboed with genuine bmw carbon bonnet and boot, not to sure on specs but i'm sure the bonnet would have been more than $1600

Hard to be low and legal over here

Cheater- give the man a break hes working with what hes got and as long as there not 17" BLING BLING's im happy, plus I think he got this tyre and wheel package free.

Personally id like to see it a bit lower but wheel choice is upto you mate well done again

i likey !! i think the ride heights nice ... the sill to ground measurement looks pretty close front to back, i find the car looks to be 'underbrakes' constantly with the front down lower than the rear.
the black wheels look good under the silver aswell, matt/satin black over the gloss would be my prefered but its your ute and still looks the goods

 Re: ute night shot
looks like the front already sits slightly lower than the back, just going by how much tyre is in the guard

but yeah, as long as the sills are level it shoud look good

 Re: ute night shot
cheers for all the comments
yeah i got the wheels and rear tyres for free, they're off an aussie racing car. the front tyres are slightly smaller. the rears are 205/60/13 and the fronts are 185/60/13. the front has adjustable coil overs installed but they're at the bottom of the adjustment so i need to get some shorter springs so i have a a bit of adjustment either way. later on i'd like to get some awesome work equip 3's with some dish and yokohama avons off a formula ford and lower it some more but at the moment i'm quite happy with the black wheels. and it's already too low, 80 odd mm off the ground, that's the exhaust hanging down just behind the front wheels so i might get 2 smaller pipes running along to get more clearance if i lower it any more.

Looks hot mate Lovin' the silver paint with the black wheels.

Are they 13" wheels? Go the semi slicks!

If the front was any lower you'll start wrecking your guards. I think the back could come up 15mm But I recently turned 36 ..So maybe I'm getting old.

ps. I like the look though. Love the Semi slicks too!
