I tow all the time with my 120Y. Single and tanderm trailers. The towbar will only be rated to either 700kg or 800kg but as long as the trailer load is balanced correctly it tows 1000kg without too much of an issue. I have flat towed a VT Commodore!!

Good on ya granny.

It looks like a scene from Mad Max. It's begging for a hopped up XB falcon pursuit car to smash through it and get Charlie in the throat with a saucepan!

yeah well it's all fine until the towbar snaps off at speed and the trailer goes wherever it pleases.
we had a minivan with what i think was an 800kg or something towbar and it was towing a 2 car trailer with 2 aussie racing cars on it (cars weigh 450kg each) and the towbar snapped at 110 km/h on the highway. they couldn't slow down quickly enough because the trailer would surge forward and lift the rear of the car so when the chains snapped it ran off the edge of the road, luckily not into oncoming traffic and went in between two big concrete poles and a fair few tress before coming to a stop in an empty paddock. we were very lucky but if say it snapped halfway round a left hander it could have been a very different story.

 Re: 120y towing
even if its not heavy, just think of the wind resistance! They must have taken 2 years to travel that 15,000km at 40km/h lol

I don't know what a "Y" would be allowed to tow,but it just goes to show the laws are an ass.

I love it
