Re: can anyone identify this engine? Lots of space left for a nice turbo, and none of the heat soak/transfer problems associated with the L-series... Out of interest has anyone done a turbo conversion on one of these?

Re: can anyone identify this engine? is a zed engine but to use the same transmision as an l series you need to change bellhousing as a z series engine lean to the right and an l series lean the opposite way to put one in a 1600 all you need to do is swap left to right mount to change the lean angle plus bell housing hope this helps

Re: can anyone identify this engine? the z22 or z24 was more of a workhorse then the l series u can use the crank out of the z and put it in your l series and make a 2.2 stroker or 2.4 stroker

Re: can anyone identify this engine? The Z engine is basically an L engine with a crossflow cylinder head. So you can use same transmissions, etc. But has more power. That's 2.2 liters instead of 1.6 liters...
