Re: After washing the baby, been in the shed for 2months 2 I got rear ended in my ute, pushed the tail gate up to the back wheel's and then I had a BMX race later that day.... 60kmh square hit and not even a stiff neck, wouldent want to get hit in the side though!!

Re: After washing the baby, been in the shed for 2months 2 That is so unsafe. What if another car hit it from behind?

Re: After washing the baby, been in the shed for 2months 2 unsafe ? The whole back will crush very nicely. No chance of driver damage.
Some new car's rear bumpers will cost 5-7000 to replace. You almost can buy a whole new datsun for that.
We are lucky that in Australia, ice-related accidents dont exist. SO if someone taps you from behind, it's coming out of their pocket.
If you ever looked at a commercial flat tray ute, you'd see they are designed to almost take off the head of the driver crashing into the back.
So having no bumperettes is not really an issue except for parking damage when you aren't being careful.

Re: After washing the baby, been in the shed for 2months 2 i can see a point with bumpers if it was the like the front bumper eg theres a gap so if you bump somthing you bust a bumper and not the body work .
where the rears are mounted straight to the body and a lil parking bump will = pannel damage

Re: After washing the baby, been in the shed for 2months 2 nah he's taking the piss surely. Its a datsun I don't think you could call a 1200 a "safe" car considering you can dent them by leaning on them! :)
P.S. Smick looking ute you have there buddy
