If you can't see it on the engine number, then you can measure it. From the top of the timing chain cover to the top of the block. The A12 is appr 10mm and the A14 is appr 20mm

It's not A12A or A15, since those have two machined pads above the fuel pump.

So it must be either A12, A13 or A14.

that is some what correct but that eng is a A12a
and is stamped on block as so.

id have to say a14 as it also has by the looks of it a smooth case gearbox which are of the 60series variety

cant you read the number in the block? lool

it is a a14 , the exaust manifold is like my a14.

about the ports, you can see the number inside the valve cover.

hi all, i may be wrong but don't the A12 and the A14 have the dizzy in differnt places.
but i may be wrong again but by the pic it
looks by the placement of the dizzy hole
this eng is a A14. just throwing that out there

The late A12 also have the dizzy in the same spot! Can we compare it by the exhaust?

I would say A12 because it looks to have a round port manifold. On the NON manifold side it should stamped on the block up near the head what A series it is.

I would say a14, has alot of mouting brackets for emissions,on the thermostat housing and valve cover.
