Big ute, and sedan housings look similar where they mount to the springs.

Why do Coupe, Sedan, and Van use a different Housing? I think the sedan doesn't have the flat plate for the leaf springs.

When I used the H165 ute diff in my sedan I noticed the brake line splitter is on the opposite side which caused a few dramas.

Coupes and vans have shocks that mount on an angle from the u-bolt plate and inward at the top, sedans (not sure about 2doors) have the shock upright and mount from the leaf saddle.

What do you mean by Big ute? 620?

 Re: Rear Axle Housing
I meant to write "ute big diff" to differentiate the H165 unit for the 1971-1973 ute H145 unit.

Yes, 2-dr sedan has upright shocks just like 4-dr sedan. I wonder why Nissan made 4 designs for this (sedan, coupe, van, ute)instead of just one...
