ca18det head info needed

| hi guys i have circled what im after just wantto know what this particular hole is/does i accidently ported through into something and need to know if its important so i can plug it up somehow |

 Re: ca18det head info needed Can't help with what you've ported into but can help with fixing.
You can use devcon to fill a hole a mate did when he ported through into the water jacket and it held nicely when pressure tested, just make sure you get enough in there behind so it can anchor for a stronger fix.
Polish the exhaust ports only, you need a rough finish on the intakes to create turbulance in the air.

Re: ca18det head info needed thanks white sedan thats the plan that is how they repair rotaries after they have been peripheral ported. just need to find out what the hole is i can imagine its a oil return of breather or something if so ill just dril + ream and put a dowel in it then port wat protrudes....

on a plus side does anyone think that polishing the chambers up like this will prove to have any sort of gain? ive also mathced ported the head took about 2mm off the walls all round should flow alot nicer i think now just need bigger throttle body anyone got ka24de one?
