thats odd. You'd think it would put more strain on the pinion bearing having that in there.

I'm guessing it's a long wheelbase ute, and he used a short wheelbase tailshaft.

Yeh their very common place in the 4WD world if your running 1/2 a decent lift. Saves getting a new shaft made up. Never heard of any problems with them
