the stock a12 with the stock carbie is way to high so yer pair of sidie's would be fine but dont have em :(

haven't had a problem with small blocks before, I've heard big blocks with a standard aircleaner sometimes give grief..

orrrr boo hoo lol nar that bonnet was ok on the outside but under the brace's where US and where the spot where the hing bolts to where weld'd a few times buy looks

hey bennykb10 i think the running gear from this car is living in a ratrod 1000 wags own'd buy ben/kue1000 (i miss that set up ) but this a12 goes quite hard being only 60,000kms since new n strait through zorst

My a15 deosnt hit the bonnet juct change the air filter and it will have heaps of room that's all I did

yes i know i have a a15 in my coupe but this car i try n not 2 spend moni on, so it was a case of lookin through the shed and found a pod filter and helps performance having it out of the bonnet

i got a sti wrx seat fo free the other day n other ending up in the passenger's seat a few times in mid corner i'll be slaping that in befor the first autocross

read the hole thread,,, some people are hell upthem selfs , like they have neva sent a datto to scrap or let em rust away theres a few 1000s on hear with scoopes go cry elce where

its the worst 1000 bonnet i have , i have 4 bonnets

1000's are relatively scarce, just thought you would have considered an alternative option considering your involvement & passion with/for the good old Datsun.

the 1000 bonnet was never made properly they all have the skin come away from the frame, flex and catch the edge of firewall, and not enough of a frame there.
