"Coupe regulator (top) is more complex"

indeed they are a pain. my window wouldnt shut beyond about 85% closed and a mate helped me pull the thing apart, then put it back together and it was fixed. it took a good hour or two. thanks douggy :)

Dude, are you sure? I've never seen the top regulator. The regulators in my 1973 2dr Sedan look like the bottom one. As far as I know, the couple and sedan regulators look the same except for a different arm length.
I'll look in my door tomorrow to make sure, but I'm positive they're not like the top one.

 Re: Window regulator
I'm sure. I pulled the top one out of my old '72 1200 sedan last week. Maybe it was a year thing? They might have simplified the design for '73. The bottom one came out of my 1200 parts coupe (don't know what year it was).

 Re: Window regulator
<looking in the parts catalog> Oops, you are right. The complicated one is for the Coupe. The simple one is for the sedan.

I remember now that I switched them when I installed the power windows -- I used the coupe regulator in my Sedan doors. I don't remember the reason why.

I see the mounting points are considerably different, but they fit nonetheless.
