Blue and white rising sun11 That's a bit different. Wats the go wit all the usa guys using the rising sun on the bonnet. I would have thought it would have been considered an insult. Or am I being a bit ignorant?

Yes, a lot of older folks are offended by any display of the flag of japan. Even stylized versions as on the light blue pickup.

In the current fad (as I understand it) the motivation is not of Japan, but of the Japanese Car. For Datsun it may be arguably appropriate since the Datsun logo is partly based on Hinomaru (Rising Sun).






By the way, my darker blue pickup has a flower design on the bonnet, it is not a rising sun.

i love the rising sun
also did you know that the symbol on the nazi flag actually originated from monks in nepal and meant peace.
although the nepal version spun in the opposite direction
thought i might add this cause i could and both of the 2 symbols are disliked by veterans
