Whats the circle cup looking part behind the headlight unit?
Looks like it goes between the headlight unit and the retaining bucket?

Looks like the rubber boot the wiring plug goes through to.protect the connections from condensation etc to me. But usually on non sealed globes.

Yes, it's called the Terminal Cover (or Headlamp Cover) and was standard on all USA 1200s with the round sealed beams.
