The body seem to be alright for just sitting around for that period of time. It mustbe from a nice dry area, not up north (for the US guys)

Two words........Black Widows. ...........Looks like a diamond in the rough! What are your plans? PS Tell DMV you lost the plates. Maybe down the road they'll let you put them back on. Welcome

 Re: My project car...
lol... There was a HUGE one in the engine compartment. other than that just a lot of cobwebs. As far as plans go, I am focusing on just getting it running to use as a second car. Later on I plan on restoring it. Exactly what that entails I'm not sure on yet. Thanx for the tip about the plates. It was last registered in 1981, and all that I have heard is that DMV will go back at least 3 years and charge you the registration fee for each year. Anyone know if this is true?

I don't know about California, but in Washington the Department of Transportation (DOT) won't back-charge for unregistered years.

They are now making us replace plates issued more than seven years ago ... regardless of condition. It costs $14 in the "interest of public safety". At least we get to keep the old plates for souveniers.

i got a $100 fine for not handing mine in over in Western Australia, it was a great plate original from first rego, but hey you get that, over here we can get old plates reproduced like custom plates they use the old starting prefixes it's great, see if i can get my old ones remade
