im drivin to work yesterday morning doing the speed limit (for once) and a lovely young thing in a hyundai decides to cut across traffic in front of me.i hit the skids and try turn outa the way but CRUNCH! we are both uninjured and her car only has a smashed fender and will need a wheel alignment ( i hit my front corner right on her front wheel ) The Fatsun is toast but she has full insurance so now i wait and see what AAMI will give me,then they can take my counter offer cos i know theyll try and stooge me. No its not just an old datsun you bastards! its a way of life! i am not amused...

i'd like to fix it,i only got to drive it for a couple of months with the L20 and it took longer to fit! i have a spare 1200 (thanks levey!) that i'll probably cut the rad support and bits off but i'm gonna have to seam weld the whole front otherwise it will be too weak. gotta pull everything back out of the bay and get it on the car-o-liner at work to sraighten the rails and strut towers. have to see what happens with insurance first.

Kinda like what Jordy said, the ones who dont pay any attention on the roads are sometimes worse than hoons.

Aw man that's terrible. The issue with insurance even though they're supposed to pay it is will they try and pinch you for any mods?

.

Tell you what, I almost got swiped by a heavy 300D merc the other day. Some pretty blonde with her trendy cruiser, she kinda giggled when she realized she had almost run over me (little Datsun 1000)

How could I get angry? I had to smile, good lookin bird (shouldn't be driving a big heavy diesel merc though).
