Re: Hood Latch Design On my first drive in my 71 coupe tonight i fell victim to my hood flying up into the windshield. Luckilly at low speed. Could be due to recall. Time to buy hood pins.

Re: Hood Latch Design It's due to not being fully latched. That's what the recall did, made it easier to latch, but it still happens
Happened to me, just make sure it is fully latched every time to close the hood. Hold the hood about 12 inches high and let it drop. That'll close it properly

Re: Hood Latch Design I used a mazda 1300 808 setup on my past corolla ke25 te27 replicar as Ive always loved Mazda reverse opening which never has this issue in case you leave it open

Re: Hood Latch Design Yes. Note that the recall was about the Secondary latch. If the hood is closed all the way, it will never fly open -- even with the pre-recall latch
